Павла Янішова

Pavla Janiššová is a Czech theater and film actress whose career is primarily linked to the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb. Born in 1985 in Městec Králové, she grew up in Poděbrady. She studied music and drama at the Prague Conservatory and gained experience at prominent venues like the Vinohrady Theatre, Švanda Theatre, and the National Theatre in Prague during her studies. In 2006, she joined the permanent ensemble in Cheb, becoming a key pillar of the company. She portrayed dozens of leading roles there, from Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac to Marie Antoinette. She won the 2015 Thalia Award for a young stage actor and received a broader nomination for a musical performance in 2023. Besides her home stage, she collaborates with Prague independent theaters (e.g., Lachende Bestien, Divadlo X10). TV viewers may know her from minor and episodic roles in popular series like Jitřní záře, Specialisté, or Ochránce.
