Kateřina Hubená

Kateřina Hubená is a Czech set designer, costume designer, and fashion designer active in both drama and opera. She studied fashion design in Prague and graduated in scenography from DAMU in 2024. As a set and costume designer, she has collaborated on successful projects such as the productions Sister (Sestra) and Yvonna, Princess of Burgundy at the DISK Theatre, the site-specific project Double Law: Karol Sidon (Dvojí zákon: Karol Sidon) in the Libeň Synagogue, and the puppet play The Hag and the Pigeon (Bába a holub) at Studio Damůza. In opera, she has worked at the Estates Theatre and the State Opera (Manon Lescaut). A major international milestone was her costume design for the opera La traviata performed at Rome's ancient archaeological site, the Baths of Caracalla.
