Dana Hlaváčová

Dana Hlaváčová is a Czech theatre dramaturg, critic, and writer, representing a prominent voice among the upcoming generation of theatre artists. She graduated in theory, criticism, and dramatic branch from Prague's DAMU. Her graduate production Sister (Sestra, 2024), based on Jáchym Topol's novel, which she co-adapted, won 3rd place in the Evald Schorm Award for 2023. Since January 2026, she has been a dramaturg for the drama department at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň (DJKT). Alongside dramaturgical work, she focuses on theatre criticism and history, has published in Divadelní noviny, completed an internship at the Finnish National Theatre, and collaborates with the Theatre Archive of the National Theatre.
