Martin Finger
Martin Finger is a Czech theatre, film and television actor considered one of the most distinctive figures of contemporary Czech drama. He graduated in acting from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). After his studies he worked at the National Theatre, the Činoherní studio in Ústí nad Labem and Divadlo Komedie. He has long been closely associated with Prague’s Činoherní klub, where he works both as an actor and artistic director, and he has also appeared as a guest on other major stages.
On stage, Martin Finger has created a wide range of roles in both classical and contemporary repertoire. He is valued for his natural acting style, psychological precision and ability to build powerful characters with subtle means. He has collaborated with directors such as Michal Dočekal, Jan Nebeský and David Jařab and moves confidently between intimate psychological drama and major theatrical roles.
Television audiences know him from series such as Devadesátky, Božena, Bohéma, Ulice and Herec. He has also appeared in films including Prvok, Šampón, Tečka a Karel, Metanol and Krásno.
