Lubomír Lipský

Lubomír Lipský was one of the most distinctive Czech actors of the 20th century – a master of comedy and an unforgettable portrayer of kind eccentrics, lovable rascals and precisely crafted characters. Born in Pelhřimov, he passed through Divadlo satiry and the legendary ABC Theatre, and for many years was a key member of the Prague Municipal Theatres, where he created dozens of iconic roles, including Brasset in the classic Charley’s Aunt. Audiences adored him not only on stage but also on screen, in films such as Six Bears and a Clown, Four Murders Are Enough, Dear, Joachim, Put Him in the Machine!, Three Men in a Cottage and the fairy tale Long Live Ghosts!.
