Václav Trégl

Václav Trégl was a Czech actor and master of small roles who rose to fame during the First Republic era. He gained stage experience at the Osvobozené Theatre alongside Voskovec and Werich but shone most brightly in film. He appeared in more than a hundred movies, including Ducháček Will Take Care of It, School Is the Foundation of Life, The Stationmaster, The Emperor’s Baker – The Baker’s Emperor, and Mareček, Pass Me the Pen!. Critics described him as “the most cast Czech bit-part actor,” who could turn even the smallest role into an unforgettable moment. Václav Trégl is considered an icon of Czech cinema, whose face and humor continue to entertain audiences to this day.
