Давид Шір

David Šír is a Czech actor, director, and producer known for his passion for classic Czech comedy and for reviving the legacy of the legendary duo Voskovec and Werich. Born in Brno, he has been drawn to theatre and film since childhood. On stage and on screen, he combines humor, intelligence, and a fine sense of timing. He became known for his original projects such as V+W: Revue, Put Your Ear to Dušek, and Across the Fences, which blend satire, music, and improvisation. He collaborates with both Prague and regional theatres, performs at festivals, and is dedicated to promoting the heritage of Osvobozené divadlo (The Liberated Theatre).
