
Алена Амброва
Alena Ambrová (1955–2010) was a distinctive Czech actress, choreographer, and longtime member of the legendary Theatre Husa na provázku, where she worked for more than three decades. A native of Brno, she graduated from the Ballet and Experimental Department of the Brno State Conservatory and later attended DAMU in Prague. She first appeared at “Provázek” as a student in 1973 and became a permanent member of the ensemble in 1977.
Thanks to her strong background in dance and movement, she contributed to the choreography and physical design of dozens of productions, significantly shaping the physical theatre style that became characteristic of this iconic ensemble. She was also the author or co-author of several scripts and plays, known for their playfulness, imagination, and distinctive theatrical poetry.
