Мілош Штедронь
Miloš Štědroň is a prominent Czech composer, musicologist and author whose music blends early musical styles with modern expression so naturally that it feels as if they had always belonged together. He composes orchestral, chamber and vocal works and is also the author of dozens of musical scores for drama, film and various original projects.
He was most closely associated with the Brno-based Divadlo na provázku (today Husa na provázku Theatre), where his most famous stage works were created—most notably the legendary Balada pro banditu, as well as productions such as The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart and Leoš aneb Tvá nejvěrnější. Štědroň’s music became an inseparable part of the theatre’s poetics and helped shape its signature style and atmosphere.
