WE: media theater

WE: media theater is an independent Ukrainian artistic group that creates multidisciplinary projects based on its own documentary research. The group works at the intersection of post-documentary theater, reportage, and documentary cinema. At the heart of WE: media theater are pressing socio-political processes of today, peripheral realities, the inner order of closed or remote communities, and the existential dimension of individuals facing the challenges of modernity. WE experiment with artistic forms, using them as tools to explore, reflect on, and structure human experience — both that of the Other and their own. They give it a performative shape, turning art into a means of engaging with the extreme and chaotic reality they inhabit.
